Advice when meeting people
Please consider the following advice when
meeting someone for real. Most dates
go smoothly but you should always be careful.
Meet in a busy place
A town center bar or cafe is always a good option and
it doesn't have to night time. You may be a lot more
confortable if you meet up for a date at lunch time.
Swap phone numbers
Before meeting you should talk on the phone. Make you have
a phone number for the other person. You can always give this number to
a friend as an added security measure.
Swap pictures
Swap pictures with each other, and swap as many as you can and don't be
afraid to ask for a specific picture. For example, ask for a picture holding
a cup. This way you can be sure the person you are talking to is genuine
and not using a folder of fake pictures.
Tell your best friend
It's important to tell your best friend that you are going to meet someone and
you could even take them along for the first few minutes. There is no shame
in being safe.
Have an exit plan
Send an SMS to your best friend just as your about to meet someone and then ask
them to call you 30 minutes later. You can then use this call as an excuse
if the date is not going well. You should always have your own transport so
you can leave a date whenever you wish, never let your date pick you up.
Never take your children
Finally, never take your children on a date. Keep this an adult only environment
until you know who you are dating.

Can you trust someone?
When dating online you only have a picture and a few words
about the person. With dates for partents we show you what
other people think about every member.
Our unique Trust System scores every user from 0 to 100. 0 is someone you should
avoid at all costs, 100 is someone new to the site or trust worthy. Although
we cannot be 100% sure that you can trust anyone it gives you much more information
than just a picture and text.
As other members report users the Trust Systems learns more information
about abusive members and monitors users everytime your view their
profile.
We improve our Trust system all the time and add new automatic systems
to keep you as safe as we can.
